Greenville, South Carolina is a hidden gem that I am so sad that I only recently discovered! Greenville is one of those cute little cities with the most darling downtown areas where you can find lots of events, shopping, and even a park smack dab in the center of the city! The park itself is huge and the scenery is gorgeous. Lakes, bridges even a little waterfall, what more can you ask for?!
For this particular adventure in the park, I decided to show one dress two ways! Whenever I buy a piece I always try to think of the various ways I can style it, and when I saw this dress- I knew it had so much potential. For the first outfit I paired the dress with a duster vest, a fun hat and some booties. The perfect pre spring combination that is just right for that weird transitional time of the year! The vest still shows off the pattern of the dress, and the camel colored booties give it a more dressy causal feel. During the winter in NC/SC you always have to be ready for a change in temperatures, which brings me to my next outfit…
I switched the vest for a sweater, camel booties for black over-the-knee boots, and the satchel for a back pack. If you can’t tell already, I am a big fan of layering- so whenever its chilly I’m excited. I love that this sweater has a bit of a “high to low” feel with some slits in the side, so that you can still see the pattern on the dress. Another thing I love is how the olive color brings out the greens in the dress! I also chose the OTK black boots to go with this outfit, giving it a much sleeker and chicer look. I highly suggest everyone invest in some suede OTK boots, they are an essential piece that can take your outfit from drab to fab!
