For me a visit to DC will always consist of a stop at Olivia Macaron. They have, in my opinion the best macarons you’ll ever get in the states. But this time around the famous Laudree had finally opened up in Georgetown and of course I had to try it.The brunch was great, the dessert was even better and the macarons were twirl worthy (shhh don’t tell Olivias). This soft pink flower top and powder blue ruffle skirt is such a fun and feminine combination. When I bought this skirt I wanted to find a top that complimented it in a way that wasn’t expected. You’d think crisp white button up or even a fun graphic tee but I wanted something that emphasized how girly this skirt could be and when I found this french connection top I knew it was the one. The appliqué flowers and soft pink color were just what I was looking for. It isn’t too much to overwhelm the skirt but just enough to make it the perfect outfit for a day of taste testing macarons!
